The Rahma Project is a Muslim-led community initiative rooted in compassion, dignity, and service. Guided by the principle of rahma—mercy—we unite local Muslims and allies to bring hope, relief, and empowerment to Austin’s low-income and unhoused neighbors.
Our Initiative
The Rahma Project began as a grassroots effort inspired by the Islamic principle of rahma — mercy and a collective desire to serve our neighbors with dignity and compassion. What started as a small group of local Muslims sharing meals with those in need has grown into a community-led initiative dedicated to restoring hope and uplifting lives across Austin.
Guided by faith and a deep sense of responsibility, we provide essential aid to individuals and families facing hardship from food and hygiene support to connecting people with vital community resources.
Through every act of service, we strive to strengthen the bonds of our Ummah and remind one another that mercy is not just a value, but a practice.

We stand as a trusted pillar within the Austin community, uniting volunteers, donors, and partners under a shared purpose: to bring mercy where it is needed most and to strengthen the fabric of our Ummah through service, solidarity, and love.
